Microneedling
About Microneedling
Microneedling, often called collagen induction therapy or CIT or percutaneous collagen induction (PCI) is a procedure that uses a mechanical needling device to puncture the skin multiple times. Microneedling is performed with a high-quality, high-molecular weight hyaluronic acid serum which allows the device to glide easily on the skin. The microchannels created allow for deeper product penetration, enhancing the product’s effect. Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure with zero downtime that when done correctly has minimal negative side effects. As a Microneedling Certified Acupuncturist, it is my responsibility to formulate a treatment plan based upon your specific skincare goals.
Within a week after the microneedling treatment the skin creates a network among the cell surface where collagen organizes. The micro-trauma of the microneedle followed by the skin healing response is what causes the all over skin tightening and rejuvenating effect. The effect of the needling is to induce regeneration through the body’s natural response, the wound healing cascade. This response allows the body to produce collagen and elastin. It promotes the regeneration of tissue through new skin cells which improves the appearance of aging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, appearance of pores, melasma, and rosacea.

Packages and Pricing
Microneedling treatments are 40-60 minutes long and are scheduled 4-6 weeks apart, as it requires a full 28-day skin cycle to see the benefits of a treatment. The Pricing below reflects a Microneedling session for the Face and Neck areas. Please contact the office if there are more specific facial areas you would like to treat (such as upper lip only, or forehead only), as this can affect the costs.
An acupuncture treatment makes a great addition to any microneedling session, as acupuncture can help target the root cause of the problem area and increase circulation. The Pricing below reflects a Microneedling session without and with an acupuncture treatment.
Cold Light Laser can be added to any treatment to enhance the effects of the microneedling procedure for an additional $25/session.
